The deafness of sevelyn was noticed as the age of 8 yrs and it was confirmed at the age of 11 . Ron Forbes - a percussionist, played two large drums on two different notes.e Evelyn was able to sense the drums....she realised that she could feel the upper drum from her waist up and Lowe drum from the waist down...Ron asked her to listen the music with her other organs rather than the ear... In this way she managed to fight with her disabilities....

Evelyn Glennie was a very brave girl. She learnt to open her body and mind to the sounds and vibrations. She used to feel as if music was flowing through her body. So she joined an orchestra and later the Royal Academy of Music. She did not want to be deprived of the joy of music that made her happy. She later even gave solo performances on stage in many countries and became famous.
