hey mate here is your answer
evelyn hear music despite being deaf by feel the music. she could sense the higher drum fron the waist up and lower on from the waist down .she could sense certain notes in different parts of the body.

In spite being deaf Evelyn showed sheer determination and hard work to pursue her dream for music. Percussionist Ron Forbes helped her realise her potential and helped her sense music through different parts of her body. She even said "If you work hard and know where u r going u'll get there", which shows her love and passion for music and for her success.
