The twentieth century showed some important changes as compared to the passed eighteenth and the nineteenth century. The position of women in the society had become much better. Their contribution in the war helped them to uplift their position in the society. This helped the women to earn a living by going to work that was prohibited in the previous years. The family sizes began to become smaller. The standard of living became better. The families could now afford some luxuries like consumer electronic goods .Homes had become places to spend leisure time, entertain friends or cultivate a lifestyle. Thus families now emerged as the heart of the new markets. The comfortable family life enabled the production and discussion of much liberal ideas too
