Food supply helped in the development of ancient cities in that when there was good food supply people lively hood was increase meaning their lives were made better and more people can be feed.

Food supply also meant that in an ancient city there would be more people coming as they got the lobs opportunities which means they have better living including food also.

Food supply led to the development of ancient cities.

Transport infrastructures were also developed through food supply, This largely explains the development of urban settlements which emerged as a result of areas which were naturally conducive for food supply production.
