At the dawn of the french revolution of 1789, many french nationalists wanted to limit the power of their french King Louis XVI in similiar fashion to the british monarch and create a constitution based on human right but when the king tried to flee away from France, many french people viewed this as a sign of betrayal not to mention they were fighting wars against most europena lands therefore they executed King Louis XVI through a guillotine and made France a republic before Napoleon crowned himself as emperor.
After the Congress of Vienna, Napoleon was exiled and France became a kingdom again but the Revolution of 1830 abolished the bourbon dynasty regime and King Louis Phillipe became a new french king under a new constitution. He ruled France as a constitution monarch before he was overthrown during the Revolutions of 1848 due to his aristoctratic manner and France became a republic again. Napoleon III later became french president and organized a coup d’etat which made him a french emperor under another constitution. He was desposed by another french republic when he lost war against Prussia

The national Assembly completed the draft of the constitution in 1791.It's main object was to reduce the powers of the monarch.now these powers were not in the hands of one person.they were now repeated and given to different institutions_ the legislature, executive and judiciary.this made France a constitution monarchy
