How did Franz's feeling about M.Hamel and the school change?

Franz was very worried about this Franz forgotten the rural and crankiness of his teacher. He was very worried about the idea of not meeting his teacher any more. His school now carrier different meaning the books seems his old friends whom he did not want to give up but he regretted of not being attentive in his class earlier.

Hey !!
When Franz came to know that it would be his last lesson in French, he grew sentimental. The books and the lessons he had disliked before seemed quite fascinating now. He began to like his teacher M. Hamel and was sad that he has not learnt his lessons before. It was painful to think that there would be no M. Hamel and French lessons anymore.
