How did gavaskar behave during matches played in his childhood days? What will you do if one of your friends behives like gavarkar?

Gavaskar behaved as any child would behave. Preferred to bat. Was not a big fan of fielding, which is totally understandable considering the state of Indian grounds at that time. Most of this is covered in his book Sunny Days. It is quite well written especially for someone who was still in his prime and playing professionally at the highest level at that time.

The second part of your question makes me think you are referring to some of his “tantrums” such as not diving to stop boundaries and asking who would pay his laundry bills, that incident in Australia when he was calling off his opening partner because of an incorrect decision etc etc. While Gavaskar was no doubt more belligerent than some of his teammates such egos were pretty common in the Indian dressing room in the 70’s and 80’s. Most of them behaved like petulant kids just that his were more public. Thankfully things have improved a lot since his days.
