Soon after the invention of printing press, the need for paper grew rapidly during the Fifteenth century. Paper was exported to all parts of Europe from the manufacturing places.
Soon, paper seems to be more common to be found in text books, library books. But in late 15th century, paper became more cheaper than expected. Papers in the medieval period were made of linen rags that are more durable and stronger when compared to the papers that are now made from wood pulp.
Many writer from the medieval period have chosen papers other than parchments as papers found to be cheaper and durable than parchments.
