Griffin made himself gradually invisible at the Coach and Horses. First he revealed his invisibility by ripping off the bandage of his head. But later Hall came in with Jaffers and when Jaffers tried to handcuff him, he stayed calm and agreed to surrender without wearing a handcuff. Taking advantage of the situation Griffin got rid of his shoes, socks and trousers and then his coat and shirt and rendered himself completely invisible.

The stranger man who is inside the parlour came out and went to Mrs Hall and asked her why she never sent him the food. Mrs Hall replied him that he never settled the earlier bill money till then. The person gave Mrs Hall some money. But she refused to accept it and asked him to remove his entire scarf around his neck. The stranger removed his entire scarf and introduced him as a man without head.

Suddenly a screaming sound came and all ran here and there. Suddenly that man attacked the servant girl. Then the local constable arrived to that spot and asked the stranger to remove all his clothes. He obeyed and said to constable that he was an invisible man.
