This question has been taken from the chapter "Footprints Without Feet" by "HG Wells" which revolves around the story of an eccentric scientist named Griffin.
Griffin was a brilliant scientist. He had discovered how to make the human body invisible by making it completely transparent. Later he took some drugs and became as transparent as a thin sheet of glass though he remained as solid as a glass. Later he used his power of becoming invisible for gaining sadistic pleasures.
