The final chase begins with Kemp running in terror of the Invisible Man, to his neighbouring house but he was rejected there. Forced to run again, Kemp ran wherever with all his might. All along he saw houses locked and barred by his own orders. In his terror, he imagined footsteps behind him. Something invisible hit him. A couple of eager hands gripped his throat. Kemp grasped the wrists and the invisible man cried. Then Kemp overcame the invisible man by crying “I have got him”, “Help, Help!-Hold! Hold his feet”. In a second there was a rush and Kemp could hear only sounds of blows and heavy breathing. Kemp shouted at men to ‘stand back’ as the men was hurt. Kemp examined the thing unseen on the ground. People now came out of the houses. Suddenly an old woman pointed out at a cloudy figure. Slowly the strange change continued and soon the Invisible Man appeared. Finally Griffin, the world’s most gifted physicist that the world has ever seen, met a terrible death. It makes one think that science if not used for the service of mankind is evil and is without humanity. Griffin paid a heavy price for using science without humanity for his own selfish ends. He became inhuman and lost all rights to our compassion.
