Gulliver thinks that the houyhnhnms represent 'perfection in nature '.If the hounyhnhnms represent perfection, the yahoos represent degeneration in nature.Like the people of England, who have intrest for costly stones, the yahoos loved shining stones. they drink the juice of a root that has the same effect as liquor has in the England people. The yahoos are the only animals subjected to diseases , just like humans. The female yahoos share lewdness and coquetry that are common traces of all womankind.

The houyhnhnms are endowed with all virtues.Friendship and benevolence are the two principles among the houyhnhnms. They preserve decency and politeness in the highest degree.
