After a shipwreck, Gulliver finds himself near a rocky island, around India. He was rescued by tiny people living in the flying island of Laputa. There he was offered a residence and he was also allowed to go around but on a condition that he will not harm any of their subjects. There Gulliver observed and invented a lot of things by meeting different people.
After spending time there Gulliver was bored by their conversation and their interests. Gulliver gave the petition to the lord of the land to leave the island.
