It is understood from Gulliver's ability to learn the language, about the intellect and the mental power of Gulliver. He often observed the communication between people and learnt them quickly. He also pointed out to new things and demanded to know what it was known as. He also wrote down the new words in his journal. He considered learning the new language as one of his primary goals, thereby, reflecting his determination and interest to imbibe new things. Thus, it proves that he had a sharp intellect. Throughout the novel, the reader derives this idea about Gulliver, who was able to accustom himself to the new settings around him.
