Helen was not born blind and deaf.A mysterious illness left her blind and deaf.Silence and darkness enveloped her until her teacher set her spirit free.
Loss of hearing and seeing faculties was a slow process. During the first nineteen months Helen could get the glimpses of broad green fields,a luminous sky ,trees and flowers. These visuals could not be blotted out even when she became blind. They had left their indelible imprints on her heart.
