when Helen was six years old her father heard about an eminent oculist in Baltimore who had been successful in many cases that had seemed hopeless. after knowing this they immediately journeyed to Baltimore. after reaching Baltimore they got to meet Dr Chisholm but he could do nothing to Helen so he suggested that Helen could be educated. but for this reason they need to consult Dr Alexander Graham bell of Washington. he would be able to give them information about schools and teachers of deaf and blind children. determined strongly to educate Helen they quickly went to Dr bell. Dr bell advised Helen, s father to write a letter to Mr anagnos who was the director of the Perkins instutuition in Boston and ask him if he had a teacher for giving education to Helen. Helen, s father did so and after a few weeks there came a reply that a teacher had been found for Helen. this is how they got to miss Anne Mansfield sullivan
