Answers
Helen’s teacher, Miss Sullivan, taught her everything. She came as a ray of hope into her life. Helen was very
happy and excited in her company. One day, she gave violets to her teacher. Miss Sullivan kissed her and said,
”I love Helen’. Helen couldn’t understand the meaning of love. So, she questioned her about it. Miss Sullivan
pointed to her heart indicating that it was where love resided. Helen still couldn’t understand it as it was an
abstract thing which she couldn’t touch. She thought that the love was the sweetness of violets, the warmth of
the sun but her teacher replied in negative. Helen felt quite strange that Miss Sullivan was unable to show her
love. Soon, it started drizzling. Miss Sullivan again pointed it out to Helen. Immediately, Helen realized that love
is something which can’t be touched. It is an emotion, something which can only be felt with heart.
