Helen spent her time in the company of other girls of her age. She played games and went for walks with them. She also used to discuss with them about their studies. Additionally, Helen did a lot of reading with Miss Sullivan’s help and using her fingers. Although she found it tough initially to adjust in Cambridge, she soon made a few friends who learnt to communicate with her without Miss Sullivan having to mediate in between.

In the autumn of the year 1896, Helen "entered the Cambridge School for Young Girls, to be set up for Radcliffe. She immediately found that school was a significant change. The educators there were not used to showing visually impaired or hard of deaf students. The teachers there were not used to showing visually impaired or hard of deaf students.

Helen contemplated numerous subjects at school. These subjects went from writing to history. There was an awesome measure of work required for her classes. Helen was allocated huge segments of perusing. It was excessively Ms. Sullivan to spell into Helen's hand, and there were very few books with raised print around then.

Cambridge was loaded with new adventures. Helen made companions, some of whom figured out how to speak with her. Inevitably, her sister Mildred joined her at school. Helen brought exams for entrance into Radcliffe, which she passed.
