It was so cool up in the tree that Miss Sullivan proposed having a luncheon in the house so she went there to fetch it . Suddenly , a change passed over the tree . Helen realised that the sky had turned black . A thunderstorm could be expected at any time . The immense and unknown fear gripped her . A chill terror crept over her face . She waited for her teacher's return . She wanted to get down from the tree . The tree swayed and strained . Then , Miss Sullivan came for her rescue . She seized her hand and helped her down . Then Helen realised that " Nature wages open war against children under softest touch it hides treacherous claws " .
