He had the amazing power of speech, which he used to effectively 'brainwash' many of his soldiers into believing that what they were doing was good. This influenced lives because the effect these soldiers had was pretty dramatic, because they followed out his orders to murder millions of people.
His people loved him, and this gave him lots of power, which gave him the ability to give many influential orders such as the order of the Holocaust. Holocaust is Greek, and translates to the word 'burnt'. The Holocaust was a 'programme' that the Nazi party set up, which involved the systematic 'extermination' of an estimated 6 million European Jews. Not only Jews were killed though, the Nazis also murdered people that were Gypsies, Disabled, Gay, people who were of different religion to catholicism and members of other political parties. These murders were carried out whether they were of German descent or not. The reason for these killings, was that Hitler was a Aryan. Aryans believe in what they see as a 'pure' race (blonde hair, blue eyes, tall - basically everything the stereotypical Jew is not). The effects of the Holocaust weren't just that millions of people died, but that also the ripple effect that deaths can have on a family. This will have been a very mournful and depressing time for the relatives of the dead.
He approved of the building of the Autobahn. This is a network of super highways all throughout Germany, which have no speed limits. This network of highway roads is 12,200 km long which places them as third longest in the world. The autobahn was not very significant during the war due to trains being faster at transporting goods, and the shortage of petrol during the war. The autobahn continues to grow.
