How did Hooper feel when he returned to home?

Hooper was really excited in coming back home after a long span of four months. however this excitement did not last for long. as Marcy, his wife, left for work each day, Hooper would be hot by pain and grief. brooding over the whole episode, he continuously stared at the ceiling. he often thought of the other injured fellow patients in the ward and felt very lonely and depressed.
