One day Chuck idly hooked the leash on Duke’s collar.It was as if the dog understood what he had to do. He forced to his feet. With Marcy’s support, he put his left foot forward. Slowly and cautiously he took some more steps.

Chuck Hooper decided to let his dog enjoy and in the same way help himself recover himself from the accident quicker
Chuck Hooper first decided to take one step more everyday.
Then he started to go fence-post by fence-post everyday.
Later when eh was recovering, he started to walk one more interchange day by day
