How did India get its name as INDIA??

Actually the name 'India' is originated from the name of the river 'Indus'...

INDIA,the name of our country was given by the British government, when they left India free.

When India got independent on 15th August, then the British gave it this name. Our country had the actual name- Bharat (ancient name taken from Indian mythology). Poor thing is that we don't use this ancient name instead we use the name given by Britishers.
