How did industrial and industrialist lay down to the civil disobedience movement?

Industrialists and industrial workers lost their interest in civil disobedience because due to this movement, they had to leave their jobs which decreases their income and they found difficult to survive without work.So after some time, they thought to join their jobs again and lost their interest in covil disobedience movement.
