industrialisation and urbanisation lead to water scarcity in India by the following ways:-

1: By the industrialisation- large industrial houses consume very much water from the river ocean and other water resources for making raw material into finishing goods and dirty water is directly thrown into the river or ocean.

2: By the organisation- most of our cities overpopulated in urban areas. overpopulation leads to overutilization of water and dirty that water resource.

By these following ways we can say that urbanisation and industrialisation leads to water scarcity in India.

Industrialization and urbanization lead to water scarcity due to following ways:

1.industries require a large amount of water for processing of goods this sometimes leads to an acute shortage of fresh water due to excessive use of in urban areas.

2.Large scale industrialisation and urbanisation have posed a great pressure on existing fresh water resources as many multinational companies are being set up in India who are the heavy consumers of water for processing, discharge the chemical substance and pollute water.

3.Hydroelectricity is used to generate electricity. These industrial units have not only posed a great threat to the availability of fresh water resources but also contributed to bad quality of water with large growing number of urban centres and population.

4.Modern lifestyle of the urban people has created more demand for water both for domestic purposes and increased consumption of energy.

5.Rise of urban centres has increased the demand for water for domestic consumption purposes.
