Caliphate was a religious and political institution which played an important role in Islamic history.
When he faced rebels against him he requested caliph to issue him a certificate of recognition to stabilise his position.
Therefore he issued the coins in name of Abbasid Caliph Al-Mustakfi Billah Abu Al-Raja Sulayman.
