J. B. Kripalani responded to the telegram from Gandhiji in an emphatic way.

He was very much enthused about Gandhiji visiting Muzaffarpur.

Therefore, when Gandhiji came there, J. B. Kripalani received him at the station with a large number of students to accord him a warm welcome.

It shows the kind of support Gandhiji had in those days prior to the Champaran Satyagraha.

The excerpt is from the Fischer's book, "The Life of Mahatma Gandhi" in which many points are discussed regarding the "Father of the Nation".
