Explanation:

Jo seemed to share the pleasure and pain of the hero of the stray—Roger. So complete was her identification that the mention of tears in Roger’s eyes brought tears in her eyes. Her mouth drooped down and her lower lip bent forward. Jack’s finger traced the course of a tear along the side of her nose..

Hope its help..

Jack was a master story teller. He would make the stories very interesting by giving it special effects. He knew how to make it look real and appealing by blending his personal effects.

When Jack was narrating skunk’s misery on account of his bad smell, he remembered his own humiliations of his childhood, and mixed the sadness in the tone. Jo liked these effects very much.

Similarly, when he would describe the wizard’s part, he would give special voice effects which made his voice appear like that of the wizard.
