The seeds of 2nd World War was sown by the Axis powers that is Japan, Germany and Italy.
The western powers had followed an appeasement policy in the hope that war could be averted during the 1930's but further aggressiveness of these countries finally led to war.
The first action of Japan was invasion of Manchuria in the year of 1931.
