How did John conclude that the women in his room was a real ghost??

There were various reasons for John to conclude that the lady in his room was a real ghost. To begin with she had come in bits and pieces. She was horrible looking as per John's description. John had never seen her before and after she told him that all the ideas for his stories were actually given by Helen, this had been the greatest mystery to him as well. Thus, he concluded that the Helen was actually a ghost.

As he understand that while writing story his mind is like blank but after some time he got brilliant ideas so he conclude that there is someone who giving ideas to him so when helen appear to him he believe on her and he concluded that ideas was giving by this ghost.
