Jyotirao did not accept Brahmins as Superior to others .He said that Brahmins were Aryans who came from Central Asia and rule over India's Indigenous people who were Dravidians.They divide the peoples in cast and Indigenous now termed as 'low' .He motivated 'low' people to fight for rights from Forgeiners 'Brahmins'.

Reformers like Jyotirao Phule claimed that caste based inequality cut across class, caste and gender. Hence, for the overall development of the community and the nation, its was absolutely essential to get rid of inequality based on caste.
