How did Karma relate to the idea of reincarnation in Hinduism and Buddhism?

The Jaina philosophy assumes that the soul (Jiva in Jainism, Atman inHinduism) exists and is eternal, passing through cycles of transmigration and rebirth. After death,reincarnation into a new body isasserted to be instantaneous in early Jaina texts.

Buddhism and Hinduism believed in policy of reincarnation and they would believe doing good deed would give a better life in next the soul must be pure and should do good deeds
