Keshavan was the deity elephant. He was an ideal elephant. He was very devoted to Lord Thidambu. He used to bend his legs so as to allow the priest who would hold the lord. He was a very loyal and dutiful elephant. He never destroyed anything, neither did he harmed anyone. He got the title of "Gajarajan" the king of elephants in 1979 when his service towards the Lord completed 25 years.
