King porus was assassinated by alexander in the battle of hydaspes.
After that ,king porus was killed in awar with EUDEMUS , satrap of a nearby kingdom and eudemus became satrap of pauravas . But malayketu , son ofPorus fought with eudemus and killedhim taking the revenge of his father'sdeath.

Soon after the death of Alexander, Porus was assassinated by Eudemus who was one of the generals of Alexander. Malyketu, the son of Porus killed Eudemus as a revenge.

The Battle of Hydaspas is the famous battle that was fought back in 326 BC. The battle is considered as a famous battle as it was happened between the great king Porus (Indian King Purusothaman) and Alexander the Great (Greek King).  

The battle resulted in the victory of Alexander and surrender of Porus. Most of the region of the present day Punjab and Pakistan came under the rule of King Alexander by reinstalling Porus to the region as a subordinate ruler.
