Kondiba started feeling the pain and exhaustion during his third attempt to revive Arvind from the well. He was not in a position to hold on to his breath for long.
As he was about to come to the surface, his finger stumbled across something soft among the weeds. He spread his hand further to come in contact with Arvind’s legs. The body of the young boy was held in the weeds and mud. He struggled hard to lift Arvind`s body stuck in the weeds and mud and was looking to hold on to something which would help in pulling the boy out of the water.
Suddenly he discovered Arvind`s belt and held on to it tightly with his right hand and freed him. He then used his free hand and feet to come on to the surface, which was about six meters from the bottom.
