Kunwar Singh(1777 – 26 April 1858) (also known asBabu Kunwar SinghandKuer Singh) was a notable leader during theIndian Rebellion of 1857. He belonged to aroyal house ofJagdispur, currently a part ofBhojpur district,Bihar,India. At the age of 80, he led a select band of armed soldiers against the troops under the command of the BritishEast India Company. He was the chief organiser of the fight against the British inBihar. He is popularly known asVeer Kunwar Singh.
