with the industrial revolution in the nineteenth century britain started mass manufacture of cotton textiles that it exported to several countries including india. with this the cotton clothes were within the reach to a wider segment of people of europe. further in the early twentieth century clothes made out of artificial fibers were simpler to maintain . with IR clothes became lighter , petite and more uncomplicated.
