The concept of liberal nationalism is very broad and comprehensive. It is the philosophy became famous in the first half of the 19th century. The word ‘liberalism’ is determined from the Latin word liber, indicating free. The ideology in the commercial sphere stood for the liberation of sales and the emancipation of state-imposed limitations on the mobility of goods and capital.

Due to Napoleon's agencies measures, observed many territories with their peculiar economic policies, various currencies of weights and measures. All this assisted as commercial barriers and a significant impediment to free trade which was removed by the policies of Liberalization.
