How did Linneaus define various groups in classification

Carl linneus proposed Two kingdom classification

two kingdoms are

1)Kingdom plantae
2)Kingdom Animalia

he included all organisms with cell wall in plantae and rest In animalia
but in this classification, large no.of organism didnot fall into either category
as it have many demerits, two kingdom classification used for a long time was found Inadequate
but this system was used till very recently

The first living organism classification system was proposed by an 18th Century Scientist named Carl Linnaeus.

He used the following hierarchy to classify organisms :
