How did lord ullins anger change into grief?

Because he saw her daughter going into death with his love ...Then the real father comes out and led him in grief

Lord Ullin's anger changed into sorrow bcz after he reached the shore and saw her daughter dying, he realized that it was his ego which got him to see this day and now it was no use regretting it and nothing could now get her daughter back. He thought that if he would've let her daughter marry her lover then he would not have seen this day... How his daughter waved her hand asking him for help and he stood there helplessly made his anger change to sorrow.
