How did Louis 16 practise the passing of proposal of new taxes

•Louis 16 called an assembly of Estate General to pass proposal for new taxes on 5 May 1789.

•The first estate and second estate sent 300 representatives to host delegates.

•First Estate who were seated in rows facing each other on two sides.

•While the 600 member of Third estate had stand in the back side of the hall.

•The third estate represented by its more prosperous and educated members.


•Peasant artisan and woman were denied to the assembly.

•The third estate demanded that voting should be conducted as each member one vote.


•But king rejected this proposal and third estate walk out the assembly and protest against the king.
