and she suffered the torture of being from the inferior class by the superior race people.....
she relates herself as the caged bird as she thinks that she was forced to bear all the difficulties and had no freedom while people from the superior race(the british) or the(free bird) gets more freedom while it's already had freedom....(given in the poem as-the free bird flies near the equator with the trade winds and gets to eat whatever it wishes.....
