How did mendel experiment explane that it is posible that a trait is inheritate but not expressed in an organisum?

It's due to Mendel's Law Of Dominance, he combined a tall pea plant TT with a short pea plant tt and observed that the offsprings were tall Tt showing that trait T is dominant while trait t is reccesive justifying the question mentioned above
