The mirabai reject the social practices and traditional of her time in different ways.  She also refused for following the traditional role of the wife.  

She completely left the overall comfort of the palace for turning into the wandering saint by doing various things such as singing and composing Bhakti songs.  

With her hymns, Mirabai questioned the overall domination of upper caste.
