Ram Lal Khokhar (Khokhar) killed Muhammad Ghori on 15 March 1206. Some also claim that Mu'izz was assassinated by a radical Ismaili Muslim sect. In Hindu Folklore, the death of Mu'izz was caused by Prithviraj but which is not borne out by historical documents. This is described in the article Prithviraj Raso
