Munshi premchand is a hindi and urdu novel writer.

His novels were very realistic and nearer to the common man lifestyle.

His novel characters represented different sectors in society and their dramatic values influenced common people.

The main characters in his novels like Rangabhoomi and surdas had a great influence in the society and everyone started to think as ideal as the characters do in the novel with love for their country as they belonged to backward class and blind.

Hence he promoted nationalism.
