The correct answer is option C.

Paul Laurence Dunbar departs from traditional poetry by employing an unusual rhyme scheme.

Each paragraph ends in a strange way with the same title line "we wear the mask".

"We wear the mask" is one of the most anthologized poems from Paul Laurence Dunbar, an African American poet.

As you can see all the other lines are rhyming to each other .

He chooses to end each paragraph by breaking the traditional poetry pattern of rhyming each sentence and paragraph.

Paul Laurence Dunbar departed from traditional poetry in 'we wear the mask' by using and employing a unusual rhyming scheme in the poem and he applied and chalked out a very new and different format of rhyming scheme in his poem diverting from the generally used and accepted pattern. Every paragraph followed the same sequence or format of notation and ending as it again and again ended with the title phrase and hence repeated and asserted 'We wear the mask'.

The basic rhyming scheme diverged its way from the conventional route of maintaining line to line rhyme and chose to rather break each paragraph with the re-assertion of the title phrase and let it rhyme and co-ordinate with the ending of each paragraph being similar. The poem even gave an expression to the biblical thoughts and views in the poem maintaining the new format of rhythm and a good code of language as a rich poetry.
