Bolivia is a country of South America, where Water War was waged by the common people in 2000.
In last century, the organizations like IMF and World Bank provided financial help to the Bolivian government, in return of privatization of many state undertakings.
The common public tolerated their hardships till a US based company named Bechtel took over the charge of water supply in Cochabamba, a prime municipality area of Central Bolivia.
People rose to massive protests against the unreasonable hikes in charges for water supply, till finally the privatization of water supply was withdrawn.
