In the zamindari system, the zamindar were considered as the head who had the supreme power to overrule the farmers.
They were the landowners that control peasants.
The main consequence of the system was that they have to collect taxes on the imperial court behalf that leads to lordship.
Also, the farmers were paid in pennies which ended up with poverty.
