Answer:
Professor Trilokeswar Shonku - bald, bespectacled and bearded, was a great fictional scientist and inventor - the greatest that India and Bengal has ever seen. He worked alone, mostly - almost exclusively in his personal laboratory in his residence. However, a few of his inventions were in laboratories in foreign locales, in collaboration with other scientists.
He lived in Giridih, went for morning walk beside the Ushri River, and used a Waterman fountain pen to write - which he had owned for more than 50 years. so
During Shonku's time, Giridih was part of Hazaribagh District in Bihar. It had become a district sometime in December 1972, and well after Shonku's times, it is now part of the Indian state of Jharkhand since Nov, 2000.
